NazoNo I never get tired of listening to these guys, and this new EP just shows us their continuous growth. I love the inclusion of the sax! Favorite track: Stowaway Ants.

Andy K. I like how all the elements mix and meld together here. Music should not be confined with rules and staying in the box. Having said that this is not some noise experiment that I can’t relate to. It’s catchy and fun. Check it out.

J&S Exceptionally good fun and exceptionally well sung, 'space disco synth metal' is the most original genre I think I have ever heard - and somehow it really works! Energetic and enthusiastic, with elements from power metal, 8bit synth, darkbeat... And a whole lot more. I've honestly listened to the whole thing three times in a row already, great stuff!! Favorite track: Stowaway Ants.

Spirited away by giants On a thunderous steed of steel Carried through the realms of titans By blazing wheels And the ground begins to roar Through the great unknown we soar Our grand odyssey Began in utmost innocence Following a trail of crumbs Towards a feast for queens Though we didn’t know By entering the cargo hold We had crossed the threshold Into the world of man Stowaway ants! On our way to a foreign land Taken by the hands of fate Our destiny awaits Stowaway Ants! Thrown like dice in a game of chance Taken from our kin and soil And cast into turmoil! As our legs meet the promised sand We draw the lines of our destiny Under the rays of this pale blue star We have come so far As Prometheus gave you light You have lifted us to new heights As we’re growing strong We see the light in the endless night Knowing they will call for us When the time is right We will sail again In quest of an uncharted world For we may be very small But we can pull our weight! Stowaway ants! On our way to a foreign land Taken by the hands of fate Our destiny awaits Stowaway Ants! Thrown like dice in a game of chance Taken from our kin and soil And cast into turmoil!

Every breath you take Every move you make Every bond you break Every step you take I'll be watching you. Every single day Every word you say Every game you play Every night you stay I'll be watching you. Oh can't you see You belong to me? How my poor heart aches with every step you take. Every move you make Every vow you break Every smile you fake Every claim you stake I'll be watching you. Since you've gone I've been lost without a trace. I dream at night, I can only see your face. I look around but it's you I can't replace. I feel so cold, and I long for your embrace. I keep crying baby, baby, please... Oh can't you see You belong to me? How my poor heart aches with every step you take. Every move you make Every vow you break Every smile you fake Every claim you stake I'll be watching you. Every move you make Every step you take I'll be watching you... I'll be watching you [Background:] Every breath you take Every move you make Every bond you break Every step you take I'll be watching you. Every single day Every word you say Every game you play Every night you stay I'll be watching you. Every move you make Every vow you break Every smile you fake Every claim you stake I'll be watching you. Every single day Every word you say Every game you play Every night you stay I'll be watching you Every breath you take Every move you make Every bond you break Every step you take I'll be watching you.

about

The year is 2584, the first interstellar colony ship is set to leave earth-orbit after almost three decades of construction and tests. A massive 300 000+ crew, the best and brightest spirits of every country on Earth, has undertaken a long and gruelling selection and training process, and they are all eager to make humanity the first multi-stellar species.

Unbeknownst to them, a tiny group of opportunists has endeavoured to thwart their pretentious plans. A few thousand ants have managed to climb aboard one of the last shipments of goods from the Cape Canaveral supply rocket launching ground with their queen.

Will these resourceful insects survive the centuries of interstellar travel that awaits them?
Will they beat humanity to the punch and become the first species to set foot on an exoplanet?

Press:
Über Rock UK: "Sporting two original tracks of “space disco synth metal” ‘Stowaway Ants’ is quite the musical adventure. At its core it has all the makings of a cheesy power metal song, a bit similar to something that Gloryhammer might come up with, but there’s so much more going on." Ghost Cult Magazine: "Alpha Boötis are here to chew gum and rock your face off, and they are all out of gum! Cosmic sounding in scope, futuristic and proggy, far-out concepts await you in the music of Alpha Bootis and their new EP Stowaway Ants! Ghost Cult brings you the full-album stream of Stoway Ants, a full-fledged concept release not made of this Earth!" Two Guys Metal Reviews: "Alpha Bootis share a lot with early 2010s Euro power metal bands. That is to say there's a big cheese factor, massive choruses and lots of melodies. That being said - they're great at it and it makes their music a blast to listen too. There is a dramatic and powerful poetry to this music and its a joy.
